4.15 provides a new procedure to link folders to records such as accounts or opportunities. (In Folderize object-record mode, the number of files per batch is half that amount due to extra processing needed in that mode, but Load More otherwise works the same.) This enables the user to retrieve additional batches of 25,000 files belonging to the folder, with no limit. If the server-to-browser limit is reached on initial folder view, a button Load More appears. The fix is in version 4.16, to be distributed in June 2022. The customer who did the experiment was storing financial records - one file per transaction - and those can accumulate fast! We didn’t want this limit to impede any customer operations. We are proud that Folderize has no limit on the number of files or folders in its database. The limitation was due to a Salesforce constraint on server-to-browser data transfer in one operation. Any more than that amount wasn’t listed in the folder contents. Might anyone need to put more than 25,000 files into one folder? Recently a customer tried it, and found a problem. An enhancement that will separately store each record’s folders and files is planned for a future release. You can download such a collection but file copies will be associated with folders only, not with records. The new Replicator download feature does not yet support object-record mode. Each folder downloaded will include all its subfolders and their files. The new Replicator lets you designate a single folder (no file limit) or multiple folders, to copy to a local pc or server. Note that Folderize already lets you download files in bulk (up to 500) from a single folder. The previous Replicator version will not work with new Folderize release due to an updated API. If you have been using Replicator already, you need to upgrade to the new Replicator 2.0. The main enhancement in forthcoming Folderize release 5.3 is support for a new version of Replicator that goes both ways.

We can’t count how many times customers asked if it would go the other direction: to download a Folderize database, or subset, to a pc or server. Until now, our Replicator bulk transfer utility offered a one-way street - for uploading folders, or migrating an entire external document collection into Folderize.
